As we near the end of September, just like everyone else we’re feeling the weight of the upcoming election. With a little over six weeks until November 3rd, we’re pulling out all the stops to get people registered, educated and ultimately to the polls. Remember, registration deadlines are coming up fast so make sure to check out this helpful guide from our partners at Vote.org.
Episode 3 featured high energy, premium selections, not to mention 400,000 thousand live views to help bring the voter registration actions to 2000+. We kicked off episode three with an inspiring intro from Eddie S. Glaude Jr., followed by Montreal’s Martyn Bootyspoon who threw down a set that made us desperately miss the club. Detroit was in the house (as it always should be) with DJ Minx, Carl Craig and newcomer DJ Holographic plus Acid House pioneer DJ Pierre, a rare Aluna DJ set plus the unstoppable AceMoMa (Acemo + MoMa Ready), fan favorite Yaeji and queer and trans collective Papi Juice.
Now, it’s time for the final episode of Rave The Vote, featuring a lineup so stacked we had to add a second day! The episode four weekender will be split across October 2nd and 3rd, and we’re certain this episode will have a little something for everyone. We’ll welcome live performances from cross genre rapper Cakes Da Killa, Dutch singer/songwriter Leven Kali, and Mexican rapper Niña Dioz. Big names like A-Trak, TOKiMONSTA, DJ Jazzy Jeff and Nosaj Thing will be joined by underground ballroom staple MikeQ, club music favorites Jubilee, Tygapaw and Venus X, footwork legend DJ Spinn plus a mix of respected house music standouts Seven Davis Jr., Marques Wyatt, Soul Clap and many more. It wouldn’t be Rave The Vote without educational segments, so be prepared for passionate words from Ibram X. Kendi, Chi Ossé and much more.
